Onnit’s Hemp Force Plant Based Protein Review
Well, it is official, there is a better alternative protein for vegans to easily obtain their daily intake of protein without having to spend an arm and a leg at special restaurants or outrageously priced supplements. Hemp Force is a more
Hemp Force is a more cost-effective alternative solution which is a plant-based protein made from hemp and hemp seed along with almonds, flax seed, and chai seed. A delicious product that doesn’t have to be mixed with milk or any dairy products so it can be 100% vegan approved.
What could be better than an earth grown product such as Hemp Force to obtain your daily intake of protein or even just for a quick snack between meals? Honestly is tofu the answer? I don’t think so at all, even if you like the taste of some tofu products they still get old if that is your go-to item. Wouldn’t it be better to have a tasty alternative that is a good quality product that meets your needs?
In case you just want a good idea for a shake that isn’t exactly for weight loss but is still healthy, here is DDP with his version of a sweet tooth shake.
Hemp Protein – Earth grown nutrition
There are two different kinds of protein isolates produced from hemp, edestin is one of them and albumin is another.
The only plant to produce edestin protein is the hemp plant which also produces some higher essential amino acids as well. Albumin can easily be found in non-vegan diets such as meats and dairy, however, this type of food is not part of a vegan diet so it can make it harder to find this water-soluble transport protein.
In vegan diets, it is harder to find a good source of albumin protein which leads to lower levels of blood albumin or in other words blood plasma and can lead to weakness or a constant feeling of fatigue. Consuming a plant-based protein like hemp which has high contents of albumin helps boost your body’s ability to synthesize it, offering a complete health benefit of a complete protein.
There are also Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega- 9 benefits to hemp protein as well. It is actually a great source of the nutrient Omega-3 which provides your body with all the fatty acids that it needs for your day.
The hemp plant is known for all kinds of benefits and most of the time people do not think of the plant’s nutrient value from protein, to omega-3, to having easy digestion, also being allergen free. It is an all-natural way to aid in a vegan lifestyle diet to obtain the proper nutrients. Hemp Force protein is really for anyone who just wants to have a better tasting alternative to the traditional protein supplements.
My personal experience with Hemp force protein
As I am not a vegan myself, I still enjoy the benefits of the vegan way of eating to obtain the proper nutrients and also help maintain a proper weight loss and not gain belly fat.
In other articles, I have described a time in my life where I relied on a completely paleo diet however throughout the years of learning nutrition I have discovered exactly what is the best fit for me.
This led me to mix Dolce Whey protein with Hemp Force protein to obtain a good morning shake to start off my day. This is primarily because I know exactly what my body needs to get the best results.
This is primarily because I know exactly what my body needs to get the best results.
As I have tested the vegan lifestyle before and found that it can be one of the hardest diets to obtain proper nutrients so from my experiences. It is only fair to share my findings and success with you so that you can have better knowledge on what might be the best for you and part of my success is by using Onnit’s Hemp Force protein.
I highly recommend Hemp Force protein to anyone who struggles with obtaining a solid source of nutrients because a plant-based earth grown nutrients add so much value that you truly have to try it for yourself to see the results.
You can ramble on about my results and how other products has helped me all day but until you try Onnit’s Hemp Force protein line then you truly are cheating yourself from a great solution to being healthy and having good fitness.
Really, what do you have to lose by trying it? Probably nothing if you were anything like me, I used to live in GNC and stores like that hunting for the answers but sadly they are not there.

Your article on vegan protein sounds interesting, I use to use whey protein but I am now dairy and gluten free.
The product you are promoting sounds awesome and very healthy, I did not see any place on the allergy free list stating it was gluten-free?
Is hemp gluten-free, gluten is a plant protein and hemp is also a plant protein so is this product safe for me?
Hi,
Thank you for stopping by the site and being interested in Hemp Force, Hemp Force is completely gluten free, actually to be completely Vegan; Non GMO; Dairy Free; Soy Free; Gluten Free are the requirements so to answer your question this is a great product for those who are vegan or who are lactose intolerant. The way that Onnit has made there products it is gluten free.
I take the protein in my morning shake and I get a reaction from gluten products but I have yet to have a reaction from taking Onnit’s Hemp Force protein. Onnit actually has a complete section on their website for
gluten free products
The link is above if you want to take a look.
I hope this was helpful and if you need anything else please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane
Hi there, being a protein supplement buyer I am interested in hemp protein. Is this product good for muscle building? That is my primary interest in protein supplements as I am in & out of the gym lifting heavy weights regularly.
It is amazing what hemp can do. It really is a wonder plant you can drink it, eat it, wear and dare i say smoke it too.
Finally, I didnt catch what flavours it is available in…
Ben,
Thank you for stopping by and to answer the question on flavors of the Hemp Force protein, there is 2 major flavors for Hemp Force. They are vanilla acai and chocolate, these plant based proteins are great for a good protein source to maintain muscle growth and have added fiber and omega 3s to aid in better muscle recovery. If you like chocolate then I recommend the Hemp Force Active, I personally take the Hemp Force Vanilla for my morning shake but I also add Dolce Whey protein in the shake as well to give me a pure whey isolate as well for those days when I have really pushed hard in my workout.
The link to the Hemp Force Active is Hemp Force Active
The link to the Hemp Force Vanilla is Hemp Force Vanilla Acai
The link to the Dolce Whey Pure Isolate is Dolce Whey
They are all my favorites so it is hard for me to just pick one. Please let me know how your results go and how much you like these protein supplements.
Thanks,
Shane
Hi there Shane,
Fantastic site and an excellent article, thank you kindly for sharing it with us all.
This Hemp based supplement really appears to be of great benefit to our cardio health due to being a complete source of the omega oils.
How long does a tub of this stuff normally last and how much protein is delivered per serving?
Derek,
Thanks for your interest in Hemp Force, it is as you say and great source of protein along with other nutrients. A 420g tub of the Hemp Force protein usually last me about a week or a week and a half but I use this product every morning in my morning shake. This gives me a great start to my day and doesn’t leave you feeling bloated or like you have a brick in your gut, very easy to digest and truly a great product in my opinion.
As far as the grams per scoop, it is about 12 grams per scoop so I usually use 2 to 3 scoops in one shake and maybe that is the reason I go though a tub in a weeks time frame. This is really just my preference for my morning intake.
Thanks,
Shane
Like you, I’m not a vegan for what I eat in my diet, but I do see the value of the product you described so well. I find with my lifestyle; it is hard to eat proper lunches all the time do to the type of work I do.
As a tile setter, once you mix up a batch of thin set, you’re not able to take a regular lunch break. This product would be an excellent alternative to making sure I have the ability to keep on schedule with work and not lose out on a balanced lunch to keep working.
Your product is definitely worth a try with my busy schedule.
Travis,
Thanks for visiting the site and reading about the Hemp Force protein, I tend to use this as a meal supplement from time to time myself and it works wonders. I also work a busy schedule where there is not always time for lunch or even a break so something quick is always the best and has worked out perfect for me. I would love to hear your results.
Thanks,
Shane
I definitely enjoyed reading this article. Very interesting! Do you think they hemp is better than whey for building muscle? I personally only use whey, but would you recommend me trying hemp? Which do you recommend to those overweight? I have heard it is better for that. Thanks. Great site by the way.
Cody,
Thanks for stopping by and I am glad you enjoyed the article about Hemp Force protein, I would say that for building muscle there are several different types of protein to use for fast recovery. From whey protein in the morning or prime of the day such as Dolce whey isolate to Hemp Force for proper nutrients such as omega 3 and fiber to drinking a casein protein before bed on those heavy workout days to aid in night time rest recovery.
A combination of these are the best results for aiding in building muscle and maintaining muscle along with proper weight loss but I would recommend the Dolce whey and the Hemp Force for just a weight loss purpose as they give your body just what it needs as far as protein, fiber, omega nutrients and better cell recovery.
I hope this helps answer your question and if you need anything else feel free to drop me a line and I will get back to you as quick as I can. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Shane
Have been thinking for a long time to try out a hemp protein, but have Always fallen back on the safe cards (also cheaper) alternatives. This Review have made my change my mind though and this time I will try it out with a couple of kilos to see how it feels.
Thanks for the Review and a great site overall, have bookmarked your site
John,
Hemp protein really does help give your body the proper nutrients, I use Onnit’s Hemp Force everyday so I am a voice of experience which is why I decided to create an article on this. There are a lot of people who take supplements expecting results immediately, however that never happens. The quick fix theory is just that, a theory and a hope…not reality.
Good to hear from you,
Shane
Hi, thank you for your wonderful article I found it really interesting. I have been a vegetarian most of my life until recently, now I’m more of a paleo type eater. I have always found no matter what I try I seem to always be tired so im willing to give this a try. Is it best to have this drink in the mornings? Thanks again Joanne
Joanne,
So from reading your comment you shifted from vegan to Paleo?…That is a big shift in diets. To explain why you are tired, the Paleo diet allows fats and protein but very little carbs. On the other hand the Vegan diet, you should have had energy because of the foods vegans eat but it all depends on your diet.
I have now shifted to the Keto diet which does allow some carbs but the correct carbs…none of the junk.
As far as the Hemp Force shake, yes I take mine first thing in the morning and I love it.
Thanks,
Shane
